Scheduled Job Enhancements

clearMDM Scheduled Job Enhancements

This Article, Scheduled Job Enhancements, provides an overview of the new options that have been added to the Jobs Scheduling Page. The following blog post also provides further information.

The new fields now enable you to schedule Jobs with a record limit, specify a sort field and direction, and apply a filter using a chosen field and value. They are only available with certain Jobs:

  • Normalisation – All new fields are enabled.
  • Matching – Filter fields.
  • Internal Matching – Filter fields.
  • Data Quality – All new fields are enabled.

The new fields are:

  • Record Limit – The Record Limit is applied individually to each process.
  • Sort By – This needs completing when a Record Limit is set. You can select a field to sort by that has been setup as a rule for the targeted Object.
  • Sort Direction – This defaults to descending but you can change to ascending.
  • Filter by – Select a field to filter by that has been setup as a rule for the targeted Object.

The following demo provides an example for scheduling the Normalisation Job for the Account Object.

Test Scenario

  1. Select the Jobs Tab.
  2. Select the Job ‘Normalisation‘.
  3. Select the Target Object ‘Account‘.
  4. Enter the Record Limit = 500.
  5. Select Sort by = Billing Country.
  6. Leave the Sort Direction as Descending.
  7. Select Filter Value = Billing Country.
  8. Enter Filter Value = UK.
  9. Schedule the Job.

Once the Job has completed, the Batch Job Run displays the ‘Scope Parameters’, i.e, the criteria selected above.
