This article provides an overview of the AI Matching capability of the clearMDM Data Steward Agent for Agentforce.

When Matched Record Pairs are created, a Match Score and Match Status is set, as derived from pre-set configuration. A Data Steward will review these Matched Record Pairs manually and decide whether the Match Status can be set to Accepted (if it has a system generated status of Candidate , for example). This can be time consuming , so with the introduction of the clearMDM Data Steward Agent, there is now the capability to ask the AI agent for their Match Scoring and opinion on record matching.
There are two new fields within the Matched Record Group layout (these may need adding to the page layout), Ai Match Score and AI Match Score reason. There is also a new button within the page ‘Request AI Match Scoring’.
clearMDM Data Steward Agent Example
In the example below, we have two records that have matched, with a Match Status of candidate. Ordinarily, a Data Steward would investigate both the records, before changing the status to Accepted (or Rejected), and before the Merge operation is performed.

We are going to select the ‘Request AI Match Scoring’ button , which will allow the AI Data Steward to analyse the two records and provide their own AI Match Score and AI Score Match Reason.

As you can see, the Data Steward Agent has decided that the the score is 100% based upon both records having identical names and phone numbers. At this point, you can set the Match Status to Accepted. This record group will then Merge when the next Merge operation occurs.
As well as using the integrated button, you can also use the Data Steward Agent to conversationally request their opinion. This blog post provides further information.
