Test Scenario
The following example retail industry test scenario is provided to help with the trial evaluation process. Please note that the test records referenced are created by default in Trial Orgs only.
Real-time B2C Customer deduplication with CLV update.
1.1 Open the Accounts tab and switch to the “clearMDM Trial Accounts” List View. (Note: Add Accounts to the Navigation Bar).
You should see 2 duplicate records for the Lupita Alonso customer, the first record has the first name set a nickname.
1.2 Open the Lupe Alonso customer record and view potential matching records identified by clearMDM.
1.3 View the segmentation values which are Silver and Bronze at this stage.
1.4 View the Mobile Number which ends with 888.
1.5 View the Mailing Address State value which is blank. The Address Quality is also Amber rated.
1.6 Tick the “MDM On Save?” checkbox and Save the record to initiate the Real-time MDM process.
1.7 Refresh the page or return to the Accounts tab (and the “clearMDM Trial Accounts” List View) to view the outcome.
1.8 The Lupe Alonso customer record has been selected as the Master Record due to the higher quality score.
1.9 The Lupita Alonso customer record has set as a “Merge Source” status record and can be deleted or hidden from non-admin users via the Salesforce record visibility rules. Typically duplicates are retained for audit or integration purposes or deleted later.
1.10 Open the Lupe Alonso customer record and view the merge history (Attribute Group Lineage) which shows how data has been retained and combined across the Merge timeline.
1.11 For each field grouping, field values are recorded and previous values can be restored or Merge events can be rolled back (UNDO).
1.12 View the segmentation values which are now Gold and Silver at this stage, this is due to the recalculation following consolidation of purchases and loyalty transactions.
