clearMDM Data Quality Rulesets
This Article, Data Quality Rulesets, explains how to use Data Quality Rulesets when creating Merge Rules (Attribute Groups). This is a new feature that has been added as part of the Winter ’26 release. Previously when creating Attribute Groups, you could select the Priority Type as Dynamic, Newest or Oldest. Now you can select Data Quality Ruleset, and specify which one to use. This enables the highest quality of fields to be appended to the Master Record.
Note: When a Data Quality Ruleset is setup without a Data Quality Action, this is not processed as part of the Data Quality Job.
The following demo shows this in practice:
Test Scenario
- Navigate to the MDM Settings Tab.
- Select Attribute Groups.
- Click on Add.
- Enter the Name of the Attribute Group.
- Select the Priority Type as ‘Data Quality Ruleset‘.
- Add the fields that are part of the Merge Rule (in this example, we are using Shipping Address).
- Select the DataSources Tab.
- Select ‘Account‘.
- From the Dynamic Priority Merge Field, select the Data Quality Ruleset (in this example, it is Address Quality Score).
- Click on Save.
A new Merge Rule has now been created for the Account Shipping Address, where the record with the highest Address Quality Score, those fields will be appended to the Master Record.
