clearMDM Data Stewardship Rule Setup
This Article, Data Stewardship Rule Setup, explains how to create new rules in the Data Stewardship tab. This is a new feature that has been added as part of the Winter ’26 release.
The demo below provides an overview of how to create a new Data Stewardship Rule for the Target Object Account.
Test Scenario
- Select the Target Object from the Dropdown (in this example we will use Account).
- Select the dropdown and ‘New‘.
- Enter the name of the Rule ( this has to be unique).
- Select from each field option, the criteria for the rule.
- Select Save.
In this example, we are creating a rule for the Address Quality Score being greater than 5, for any matched record, the group becomes a candidate. What this means is that if this rule criteria is met, by matched record groups, they will not be automatically merged. Instead, they will require data stewarding and accepted before they can be merged. This provides extra reassurance that records are not being merged incorrectly and allows for Data Stewards to correctly evaluate the matched record group.
