clearMDM Master Record Priority
This Article, Master Record Priority, explains how to determine the Master Record using Data Quality Rulesets. This is a new feature that has been added as part of the Winter ’26 release. Prior to this release, you could specify the Priority for the Master Record using Newest or Oldest by date or Dynamic. Now, you can also specify by a Data Quality Ruleset, and if there is a tie, a second priority factor can be specified.
The demo below provides an overview of how to set the Master Record Priority to use a Data Quality Ruleset. In this example, the Data Quality Ruleset has already been created for Address Quality.
Test Scenario
- Navigate to the MDM Settings tab.
- Select the Target Object (in this example, Account).
- Select the Data Quality Ruleset tab.
- In this example, a Data Quality Ruleset has already been setup for Address.
- Navigate to the Merge Settings tab.
- Select Data Quality Ruleset for Master Priority 1st Factor.
- Select the Address Data Quality Ruleset.
- Save.
