The Winter ’26 release focuses on delivering powerful features and enhancements that enable enterprises to better manage and protect their most important data.
This post showcases the Quality-Driven MDM enhancements, designed to improve data management outcomes by actively integrating data quality into the process.
Prior to Winter ’26 clearMDM data quality rules could be defined to calculate and populate quality scores into (standard or custom) fields on a Salesforce Object with the calculation model applied as batch or real-time. The clearMDM data management operations could then reference the populated fields for priority decisions such as master record selection (e.g. the highest overall quality customer record) or field group value selection (e.g. the highest quality address). Whilst this field-based approach provides an efficient basis for quality driven decisions and also supports data quality reporting such as profiling and trend analysis, it does require a full-recalculation if the quality rules change. For enterprise-scale implementations a full update to the customer dataset can be a practical concern.
With Winter ’26, data management operations can now directly reference data quality rulesets to dynamically calculate a quality score in real-time. This eliminates the need for custom quality score fields and resolves the challenges tied to recalculations. Data quality rules can be updated as needed, with the new logic applied instantly.
